Manufacturing Key Points

Welding and Qualifications

- WPS/PQRs developed as per project specification and governing code
- Pre-heat, post-weld heat treatment (PWHT), and inter-pass temperature controls applied
Nondestructive Testing (NDT)
- Visual (VT), Radiography (RT), Ultrasonic (UT), Dye Penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT)
- Extent of NDT as per design code and project specifications
- For CE/PED: Notified Body surveillance required (for CAT II & above)
Hydrostatic / Pneumatic Testing
- As per ASME, PED, AS 4037, or CSA requirements
- Typically 1.3–1.5 times design pressure for hydrotest
- Pneumatic testing done under controlled, safe conditions if hydrotest not suitable

- Third-party or Notified Body inspections at hold points
